I really enjoyed this beer, very easy to drink and nice after taste. Saving my last bottle so I can collect the yeast for my homebrew. Can’t wait.

C&C 750 mL bottle, bought on clearance quite some time ago from Whole Foods Market, Glen Allen, VA. Best by 05/09. Opened with a highly assertive pop but didn’t gush. Pours a clear dark amber color with small floating particles. Large tan head with decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of dark malts, chocolate, coconut, bread, caramel and spice. The taste is bready and caramelly with chocolate, spice and some nutty notes. Medium-full bodied. Decent beer.

(33cl bottle) Large beige head atop hazy dark brown body, Aroma is medium sweet, caramel, bread, some raisin, light spice. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel, some raisin, bread, light vinous. Light-medium body.

Beer pour dark and slightly thicker then I expected. But, although it looked like a stout, the flavor was surprisingly light and easy-drinking. The finish had no outstanding overtones, but was quite tasty all the way down. Although French brewed, this beer was very un-French. Enjoy, cheers.
