This beer has a nice creamy and chunky persistent foam. The aroma is fruity little way of ripe plums and sweet caramel. The taste is fantastic. It have crunchy caramel malt, a good deal of ripe fruit (again little plum) and a final hoppy bitterness only gently supports the relatively high sweetness like this bock has. The 8.5% alcohol is not to be found in the taste, but leaves a heat in the oral cavity. Very soft and round fullness. Certainly a bock of high quality.

Small cream-coloured head, well-carbonated brown beer. Bit earthy, leafy nose, but very demure. Earthy, mild-sweet Doppelbock; touch of mild chocolate, and sligthly peppery, cardamome peel. Medium bodied, slick; with a bit wry, if not unpleasant aftertaste. Very convincing Doppelbock. Txs to J & C!

0.5 l bottle. Hazy dark amber color with vanishing head. Malty, solventy, grainy, toffeish and berryish aroma with some fruitiness and notes of red currant. Sweet malty flavor with toffee, some sharp alcohol and weird grassy-grainy (scorched malt?) note. Bittersweet finish. Thick mouthfeel. The maltiness is fairly rich but unfortunately there some off flavors.
