Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of straw, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of straw and caramel, leading to a smooth caramel finish. Lacks some body.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Myrup. Clear, warm, reddish brown with a beige head. Warm, malty aroma. Quite full-bodied with an extremely solid, malty body. The finish is smooth and soft with a discreet bitterness. Very well made. 281207

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy deep golden red with a fully diminished off-white head. Malty, chocolate and slight coffeish note in the aroma. Flavour starts slight sweet before a solid coffee and chocolate malt driven flavour appears. Finish holds a solid bitterness. Mild spiced.

Dark mahogany color; not much head retention. This brew is based solely on caramel, with a limited sweetness; really not bad but too much monodimensional.

Hazy brown with off white head. Sweet fruity flavor with caramel notes. Same goes for the flavor with some alcohol notes.

Bottle. It pours a nice ruby to brown body, almost clear, with a beige head. Caramel, roasted malt and sweetness in the aroma, sure not on the hoppy side, though there are some fruity notes. Sweet, caramel flavor with some fruityness, leading to a lightly fruity and hop-bitter finish. Quite dryish, medium body. Sure, it’s a nice brew, but their regular doppelbock is better. (080314)

Bottle bought @ Bjergtrolden, Roskilde. Pours a cloudy red-brown colour. Aroma of spices, caramel and yeast. Sweet yeasty dark fruity flavour.

Bottle, bought @ the brewery. Pours a pretty deep brown amber with a small creamy beige head. Aroma is a bit like plastic - probably the added CO2. A little caramel and smoke. Okay mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet with Belgian sugars, caramel, balanced bitterness and a little dry and vinious. A little chocolate at the end.
