yngwie (3394), Kristiansand, Norway May 1, 2008 Bottle. It pours a nice ruby to brown body, almost clear, with a beige head. Caramel, roasted malt and sweetness in the aroma, sure not on the hoppy side, though there are some fruity notes. Sweet, caramel flavor with some fruityness, leading to a lightly fruity and hop-bitter finish. Quite dryish, medium body. Sure, it’s a nice brew, but their regular doppelbock is better. (080314)

Jukkabro (2349), Tampere, Finland Mar 5, 2008 Deep dark amber colored with little light brown head. Chocolaty and mildly nutty aroma with slight alcohol and slight cardboard. Medium bodied. Flavor is also doppelbockish with dominating nuts and chocolate, mild alcohol also here. Aftertaste dries with some hops, fine doppelbock here with straightforward tones, not too complicated. I like this.
