50 cL bottle. Pours hazy deep golden red with a fully diminished off-white head. Malty, chocolate and slight coffeish note in the aroma. Flavour starts slight sweet before a solid coffee and chocolate malt driven flavour appears. Finish holds a solid bitterness. Mild spiced.

Deep dark amber colored with little light brown head. Chocolaty and mildly nutty aroma with slight alcohol and slight cardboard. Medium bodied. Flavor is also doppelbockish with dominating nuts and chocolate, mild alcohol also here. Aftertaste dries with some hops, fine doppelbock here with straightforward tones, not too complicated. I like this.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Myrup. Clear, warm, reddish brown with a beige head. Warm, malty aroma. Quite full-bodied with an extremely solid, malty body. The finish is smooth and soft with a discreet bitterness. Very well made. 281207

(bottle, courtesy of Papsoe) Almost clear, dark ruby colour with a light-beige, medium-sized foamy head. Sweet, melanoidinic toast-malty aroma with caramel, cacao and subtle fruity elements of berries. Sweet flavour with a lighter burnt bitterness, full bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. Strong roasty malty base with caramel and notes of chocolate/cacao; solid malty finish which is rather sweet with slightly burnt bitter notes and a touch of alcohol (12.08.08).

Bottle: Ruby-amber coloured, smaller, lacy off-white layer; sweet dark-malty and sweet fruity nose with a distinctive herbal hoppy touch, toasted malt is detectable too; solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium to full bodied, soft creamy MF; toasted malt ind dried fruits in the solid sweet-bitter finish. Decent, well balanced Bock, absolutely not too sweet..........

Bottle. A deep amber beer with a beige head. The aroma is of dusty caramel malt and rye bread, so is the taste. Medium body with a light sweet dry finish.

Pours a pretty deep brown amber with a small creamy beige head. Spicy and fruity aroma. Moderate sweet and bitter flavor. Light roasted and average finish. Nice beer indeed.

Bottle. It pours a nice ruby to brown body, almost clear, with a beige head. Caramel, roasted malt and sweetness in the aroma, sure not on the hoppy side, though there are some fruity notes. Sweet, caramel flavor with some fruityness, leading to a lightly fruity and hop-bitter finish. Quite dryish, medium body. Sure, it’s a nice brew, but their regular doppelbock is better. (080314)
