yespr (7782), Copenhagen O, Denmark Dec 25, 2007 50 cL bottle. Pours hazy deep golden red with a fully diminished off-white head. Malty, chocolate and slight coffeish note in the aroma. Flavour starts slight sweet before a solid coffee and chocolate malt driven flavour appears. Finish holds a solid bitterness. Mild spiced. Jukkabro (2463), Tampere, Finland Mar 5, 2008 Deep dark amber colored with little light brown head. Chocolaty and mildly nutty aroma with slight alcohol and slight cardboard. Medium bodied. Flavor is also doppelbockish with dominating nuts and chocolate, mild alcohol also here. Aftertaste dries with some hops, fine doppelbock here with straightforward tones, not too complicated. I like this. Papsoe (11030), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 13, 2008 (Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Myrup. Clear, warm, reddish brown with a beige head. Warm, malty aroma. Quite full-bodied with an extremely solid, malty body. The finish is smooth and soft with a discreet bitterness. Very well made. 281207 MoritzF (4019), Ruhrpott, Germany Aug 31, 2008 (bottle, courtesy of Papsoe) Almost clear, dark ruby colour with a light-beige, medium-sized foamy head.
