Bottle. Pours a dark brown beer with a weak head. The aroma is malt, roasted, chocolate and coffee. The flavor follows the nose with a little weaker chocolate. The palate is roasted. Overall an average beer.

Bottle @ Odense Tasting. Thanks Sfhodense. Pours dark brown - close to black with a small off white head. Nose is mild roast, ashes, coffee and vegetables. Unclean flavor. Dusty, mouldy and old.

larsga (4421) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 7, 2009
Medium beige head doesn’t last. Deep dark red barely translucent body. Earthy roasty licorice aroma with coke notes. Dry-sweetish licorice and roasty malts taste with earthy chocolate notes. Mid-bodied. Mild mouthfeel. Dry roasty earthy aftertaste with spicy metal notes. Maybe not quite harmonic enough, but delicate and nice. (0.5l bottle, Skjold Burne, Copenhagen.)

Bottle. Dark brown, lacing golden brown head. Not much nose. Very light honeyish roast, a bit clay, light body, not much going on here.

Ungstrup (22904) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - DEC 3, 2008
Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma is of burnt plastic malt, as if the wort had burnt while boiling. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, and the body is thin.

best bf 04-2008, tasted 11-2008. bot 10-2008 at plan-b,cph for taking home. aroma caramel, medium to hard roasted malts or grains, perhaps slight tar. appears very dark brown but not black, yellow/brown head that lasts. looks real good, flavor might be slightly infected, stil absolutely drinkable, sweet base, topped with reoasted bitterness, slight vanilla. fruity pearish notes from hops or slight infection. sort of like a bock mixed with stout. palate was a bit bubbly
