patricks110 (193), Alberta, Canada May 3, 2008 Smells of caramel, and cream. Body is a red/amber colour. The head is a full and frothy and thick. tiggmtl (4178), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Jan 21, 2008 Plenty of caramel and toffee in the sweet nose. Thick, foamy, fine bubbled, off white head reduces rapidly to cover. Flavour is somewhat grainy once the caramel sweetness subsides. Mild bitterness keeps it from cloying. Light body with sharp carbonation and rather watery texture. Mouth-puckering. Tulip glass. Just above fridge temperature. Can (BCLS at Hellsgate, Dec-07). DuffMan (2129), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Jan 19, 2008 Can, Deep amber brown, decent dense white head with moderate retention and leaving a little lace. Caramel and brown sugar aroma, faintly metallic. Same palate profile with medium sweetness and no bitterness at all. Reminds me of a Caffrey’s without the nitro. pintbypint (883), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Nov 19, 2007 355ml can. Amber colour. Thin off white head with little staying power. Reduces to a thin surface layer. Nose is sweet with honey and toffee. Flavour is lightly nutty, sweet malt. Some caramel in the aftertaste, also a little bit of grassy hop bordering on metallic. Light, thin body with light carbonation. My first Mild. presario (2497), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Nov 18, 2007 Easily better than the lager. Lasting sticky foam and lacing on copper. Cheap sweet toffee vegetable aroma reminds me of Sleeman Honey Brown. Tastes more like Honey Brown than an Irish or Mild. Just too sweet for drinking.
