Hooker (450), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada Jun 5, 2006 Clear pale gold colour with thin white head. Mild malt and biscuit nose. Bread dough malt taste with mild malt finish. Trev (600), Lakeville, Minnesota, USA Aug 1, 2006 Can: Poured a light clear gold with a thin white head.
Appetizing ginger cookie aroma at first.
Flavour was light malt, corny. A bit nasty actually.
Meh, I will not purchase this lager again. tiggmtl (4178), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Jan 21, 2008 Mild sweet corn bread aroma. Brilliantly clear golden body is topped by a low white head that recedes to a thin partial cover. Very sweet with plenty of corn character and a hint of grassy hops. Light body with watery texture and unpleasantly sharp carbonation. Tulip glass. Fridge temperature. Can (BCLS at Hellsgate, Dec-07). Oakes (7030), Miami Beach, Florida, USA May 12, 2006 At $7.50 for a six pack, this is almost priced within the realm of reason for swill. It’s even a cut above swill, though not a large cut. The colour is a slightly bilious yellow...kind of glowing. The aroma is comprised of creamed corn and wonderbread. The flavour is sweet, with vague bread notes and a hint of cider. Not so much in the way of malt nor hops. Kind of watery. Hmmm...yeah, not my thing.
