Mild sweet corn bread aroma. Brilliantly clear golden body is topped by a low white head that recedes to a thin partial cover. Very sweet with plenty of corn character and a hint of grassy hops. Light body with watery texture and unpleasantly sharp carbonation. Tulip glass. Fridge temperature. Can (BCLS at Hellsgate, Dec-07).

A great cheap beer for hockey. I buy this instead of macros and the team is OK with that.

Lagerboy (416) - British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 4, 2012
Clear golden yellow with a minimal head. Malty grassy lager aroma. KB’s signature cloying funky yeasty maltly taste dominates. Sweet, low hopped, average carbs, not very enjoyable. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

Not much to say about this but if you are in college and want a cheap six pack that you can guzzle, try it.

Can, pours clear yellow. Standard piss lager, slightly better than macro swill.

About as enjoyable as drinking mistakenly from the wrong bottle on the corner of your pool table, filled with 4 inches of 2 week old moldy beer and a dozen cigarette butts! This stuff is bitterly painful to drink, overly sweet, and down-right terrible. Good for pouring over someones head in a victory celebration. Cover your eyes though as it could cause blindness!

Crisp, hoppy aroma, classic golden lager colour, unremarkable hoppy lager taste, medium palate, slightly bitter finish. Some caramel notes. An ok lager.

Aroma of malt and apple juice. Looks mostly like clear apple juice but is a bit cloudy, brighter than apple juice too. Tastes almost exclusively of malt, no hops or yeast or anything else really. No bad after taste like I expect from bowen. Very smooth, not too bubbly but it could do with more going on, there is really nothing in the mid palate and the ending is a bit boring, really. This is a fantastic tasting CHEAP lager. How did that happen?

Pours slightly hazy and yellow. aroma is sour grassy and very malty. Flavour is light and fresh and very grassy. As I drink more Bowen island products I am coming to think that this grassy flavour comes fromthe yeast. It is not a great flavour but its not bad and it is kind of the Bowen island trademark flavour as best I can tell. All in all this beer is shit.

Nose is tangerine, cat pee, butterscotch. This head with cloudy yellow hue. Tangerines and cumin open the mouth, yeast and yellow grapefruit emerge later. Most certainly a strange group singing out of tune with each other....
