Cask conditioned at The White Star, Liverpool. Thin and dry beer, lacks some flavour to me, I didn’t get the citrus flavours that were promised. Reasonably dry finish, just a bit bland really.

out of the barrel at Peterborough beer fest 2004. a lovely beer full of hops and citrus aroma, but soft on the mouth and easy drinking. A good beer from a new brewery.

Cask Conditioned, at the Head of Steam, Euston, London. Golden colour with a white lacy head. Green hop aroma which is quite generous for a real ale. Nice hoppy flavour that delivers good bitterness, despite fading a little towards the end of the beer.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 chriso (7065) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 19, 2004
Gold colour, which makes you think you are going to get something crisp and refreshing. In fact, you get nothing of the sort. You get a beer with a malty aroma and a soft palate, with some citric notes but not a lot of hops, or flavour for that matter. There’s nothing particularly wrong with this beer - it’s just not very exciting and doesn’t have the fresh zip that I look for in a golden beer. Cask (handpump) Head of Steam, Euston, London NW1.
