Cask; Regular.
A dark beer, between a mild and a stout, with rich chocolate and coffee flavours balanced by a surprisingly refreshing finish.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2007, London. Medium to dark black color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, mild coffee, toffee, vanilla, light licorice. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is creamy but watery, carbonation is flat.

Cask. Amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is wooden, rubbery and dark dry fruits. Flavour is slightly roasted malts, some notes of dark fruit and mild caramel notes. Quite watery to the palate. Slight spicyness in aftertaste.

Cask Stillage at Edgeley Park, Stockport 02/06/2007 Chocolate aroma. Dark and smooth on the palate with a slightly dry chocolaty roast finish.

Cask, Derby Beer Festival. Dark brown colour, nearly black. Small off-white head. Malts and baby powder in the nose, watery taste, some chocolate and coffee there. lots of bitterness at the end. Dry, but thin.
