Really strong in alcohol in your mouth, but not very refreshing and not very interesting for me, at least.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 ESBman (53) - Andover, Hampshire, ENGLAND - JAN 23, 2006
Tasted by half-pint at the White Star pub in the heart of Liverpool, 20/01/06. The beer seems to be provided by the Bowland brewery exclusively for this pub, hence the name.
Dark orangey golden hue, some chill-haze, coming with a thin and foamy head with o.k. retention.
Very mild aroma, mixed with lemony and orangey citrus note of hops, on top of semi-sweetish pale malts. But overll overly light on the nose.
On the palate, semi-sweetish fruity hoppiness comes with lots of citrussy (mainly orangey) flavour and floral aftertaste, underlined by a light-bodied maltiness in the background. Overall, simplistic in terms of flavour and very light and soft on the mouthfeel, it’s however a bit too light-bodied to make a real impression... Light as floral cordial mixed with the lightest bitter one could get. O.K. beer.
