3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Mungo (2472) - Southampton, - JAN 30, 2007
Cask conditioned @ Guide Dog, Soton. Hop aromas more prominent - slightly fruity and grassy. Malt sweeter and juicier but less flavoursome. Nice but not so good as the test tipple to my taste. 3.4
Takeaway from Gravity cask @ Bitter Virtue. This was the test brew released as ’Test Tipple’, the hop back took longer to drain than expected resulting in a dryer hoppier finish - too good to pour down the drain but not what the brewers were looking for. This had a nice fresh hoppy nose which fades quickly. Flavoursome biscuity dry malts. Moderate bitterness and good hoppy flavours in the dry finish. Very drinkable and more to my taste than the finished article! 3.8

Pale and ever so slightly hazy (from the cask). Well balanced beer with a sweet malty aroma, a refreshing bitterness and a biscuity citrussy aftertaste. Good for quenching the thirst.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 kwik-lime (647) - London, ENGLAND - FEB 20, 2012
On tap at Harp’s, just off The Strand and Trafalgar Square. An absolutely fantastic example of the golden ale style. Strong hop character with just the right amount of bitterness, and excellent citrus notes in both the taste and the aroma. A really good beer.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Vignale (911) - Malmö, SWEDEN - DEC 18, 2011
Drucken på Hawkley Inn. En bra golden ale som saknar lite av den fina humle som finns i quivern.

Cask. Pale golden pour with a tight white head. The aroma is softly spicy with a light crackery pale malt aroma. There is a little bit of soft peppery character with a touch of light crackery malt. Light-bodied with a touch of Goldings spiciness. Lovely.

Cask (gravity) - Norwich Beer Festival 2010. Pale gold with a mild haze and a small though lasting bubbly white head. Quite toasty, zesty & dryish with good English hop notes. Finishes quite grassy but not before some sweet hops and a citric bitterness. Short to medium length finish, soft to medium carbonation & a light but firm body.

A straw coloured, light bitter. Refreshing and moreish. This 2-pint take-out is a bit flat, but still tasty.
