Commercial Description:
Cask, Regular;
Light chestnut in colour which puts it into the 'brown beer' category. As far as flavour goes, it tends rather more towards the malt than the hops, though there is a pleasing hop taste right at the finish. The aroma is light and pleasant.

Gravity, Merton Beer Festival. Warm copper, a nice cap of fine white. Rich tawny marmalade--a nice lower pitched, perfumey aroma. A pinch of cinnamon. Softly orange hop flavor, just enough pithiness to give a nice drying texture to the finish. Beautifully integrated malty sweetness. A superbly crafted beer I could be happy drinking all afternoon. Quiver seems to be Bowman’s star, but for my money, I like this.

Cask at Merton Summer Beer Festival 06-07-07. Poured standard brown colour with nice bubbly white head. Some toffee mixed with fruit perhaps a touch on the sweet side but really very nice and would be a pleasant session beer.

Cask conditioned at Merton Beer Festival ’07. Chestnut with white head. Pleasant fruity beer, sweetish honeyed plum with a toffee caramel background. Good sweet malty finish.

A Sim rate (Cask at Reading Beer Festival): Weird but really good. Apricot and plum in the aroma with barley malt and honey. Flavour hits you with fruit and alcohol. Slight toffee caramel notes. Nice amber copper colour. Lovely.

Apr 07 Cask conditioned @ Guide Dog, Soton. Darkish brown. Malty rounded toffee and a hint of vanilla. Moderate sweetness with mild hop on the finish. Not really to my taste but fairly drinkable. To be fair I dont think this was in perfect condition.
