COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A conker coloured premium bitter with an initial sweetness giving way to a dry chestnutty finish. Smooth, full bodied & fragrant. No birds were harmed whilst making this beer!! A donation for each pint and bottle sold is given to the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.

Bottle from brew shop at Aylesbury Hop Pole 17.05.12 consumed at mums 18.05.12 Pours brown with off-white head, touch hazy but to be fair I didn’t let it settle. Little nutty, caramel a fruitiness with a late bitterness. Fine but not as nice as ithers from Bowman. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0

Cask (gravity) @ The 17th Reading Beer and Cider Festival 2011, Reading, Berkshire England.

Clear medium amber colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, brew mash, nutty - earthy - chestnuts. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110430]

Cask at Leicester Beer Festival 2012. Cloudy amber with no head. Standard bitter here - bitter hoppiness turning sweeter in the aftertaste. Drinkable but unremarkable.

500ml Bottle - Copper coloured. Fruity and slightly roasted aroma with nuts, malt and dried fruit standing out. The taste is nicely balanced with dried fruit, caramel and roasted malt . Raisins and nuts can be detected.

Cask at Woking 2010 Festival. Pours a clear light amber colour with a small white head. Has a malty citrus hoppy aroma with hint of biscuit. Real malty hoppy flavor with some hints of citrus, that leads to a dry malty finish.
