Aroma is nice and hoppy. Well carbonated, taste leaves a little to be desired from the initial aroma. Relatively hoppy with a malty finish and grassy aftertaste. Easy to drink.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Very decent and refreshing bitter. Juicy malts and a hoppy profile. Typical English Golden Ale bread aromas with some little fruity acidity. After shaking it I dig out more flower and fruity notes. Flavour is the same. Well carbonated and creamy. Bread malts with moderate bitterness. This beer is all about balance but not dull at all. Not exciting but there are worse "bitters" out there and this one is one of the better ones.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
A mid amber coloured beer with a weak off white head. A strong floral aroma, Parma violets and grassy, with a hint of citrus. Dry mouthfeel. A potent mouth puckering bitterness, the citrus fruit element leads, with pithy grapefruit and lemon, then a green hop grassy flavour comes through. Towards the end a smoother malt flavour which tempers the hoppy bitterness in the finish. Bottle from Lidl, Fakenham.

Nicely hoppy but the body doesn’t seem "heavy" enough for the 5.1% alcohol. A pleasant drink though

A golden IPA, perplexingly classified as ESB on RateBeer, with earthy hop and orange peel in the aroma. Malty with vanilla toffee and apples. Good body and bitterness with complex flavours. Well balanced with good drinkability.
