Clear medium yellow amber color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, burnt caramel, light toffee, light to moderate hoppy, UK hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, licorice - peppery notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100911]

Bottled. A dark golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of malt and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes malt and caramel, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

Cask. Deep golden colour with a small head. Aroma is wood, fruits, some biscuity and caramelly notes. Flavour is rather malty along with some floral, grassy and herbal hoppyness as well. Smooth to drink, and ends in a quite mouthdrying bitterness,.
