Formerly known as Vanilla Porter. Renamed in 2009.
Dark brown in colour, with a subtle vanilla aroma. The vanilla sweetness contrasts nicely with the slight bitterness from the roasted barley and chocolate malts

Bottle @ benzai. Dark brown with a small off-white head. Smells chocolate, sweet. Tastes coffee, chocolate, sweet. Pretty nice. Medium body, soft to medium carbo.

Bottle @ home. Dark brown color, decent sized beige head that leaves fair lacing. Don’t get a lot of aroma. Taste is malts, caramel, lightly earthy, a bit dry, a hint of chocolate and roastyness. Good porter flavors, but I feel the aroma is a bit faint. Nice beer though. Quite enjoyable.

Brown in colour with a thin tan head, good lacing. The aroma is of milk chocolate and vanilla. The flavour is moderately sweet, lots of vanilla, small roast, light chocolate. Thin mouthfeel, light body, medium carbonation. Finishes long and sweet. A bit too sweet for me, lots of vanilla throughout this.

500ml bottle from the LCBO in Peterborough, Ontario.
Best before end of July 2014.

Bottle. Metallic, slight chocolate and thick vanilla hint in the nose. I don’t like the metallicness to it. Black with barely any head. The metalicity is still apparent in the flavour but less so, we’ve got a subtle sweetness with the vanilla and I can really taste the lightly roasted chocolate malt in this one, something I don’t remember of this beer from before.

Brown bodied with bubbly tan head. Very cacao like, raw cereal and a clean yeast. Simply speak the smell of a chocolate malt freshly grounded. Light bitterness, yet dry and so the chocolate still stands out. Small fitting carbonation. Very nice brew, low in alcohol yet rich enough in flavour. (50cl bottle from Beer City)

Bottle, 500ml. Black pour with a small off-white head that quickly dissipates. Very nice aroma of chocolate malt and some hints of blackberry. Flavour has chocolate, smooth vanilla and some woody notes. Some citrus in the finish. A really enjoyable brew.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkel rötlichbraunes Bier mit geringer beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, sehr süß schokoladig. Geschmack röstmalzig, sehr schokoladig, trocken, Kaffee.

UPDATED: MAY 5, 2014 I am not to much a fan on strong high alcohol % stouts and porters, so this one is probably the best porter I have drank. Very enjoyable but delicious. Top notch for me!

500 ml. bottle split by 2 @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Pours very dark wooden brown with lots of mocha bubbles for a head. Smell of sweet chocolate bubblegum, chocolate syrup, mocha, chocolate, simple & sweet but very enjoyable and the same really goes for the taste. Tastes like mocha, sweet milk chocolate, chocolate bubblegum, lots of chocolate syrup, sugar, cocoa, huge vanilla, this is like drinking chocolate milk (incl. body), simple, easy & very enjoyable.
