[RBESG, Sheffield]
Cask @ Star Inn, Huddersfield.
Pours a nice black with slight red edges. Nice, creamy, off-white head. Aroma is sweet, good vanilla and light dark chocolate. Softly roasted. Low carbonation, lightly watery palate. Flavour is a bit milky, good notes of vanilla and still only slightly roasted. Just a tad too sweet for me, even if the aftertaste gets a tad more roasted.

Cask @ the Wellington, Sheffield. Vanilla and chocolate in the aroma. Thin and watery. Roast and vanilla in the sweetish flavor. Hint of maple syrup. Nice one, in spite of being too thin.

Cask conditioned at Far from the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Dark brown with cream head. Sweet, chocolate, vanilla beer, smooth but perhaps a little thin and short in the finish. Good interesting drinking and quite enjoyable.

Deep brown pour with a tight light brown head. The aroma is really rich and chocolatey with a lot of rich vanilla as well. There is a touch of light earthiness along with a little bit of light floral character through the middle of the nose. Lightly sweet with a little bit of roast and some cocoa. Softly sweet with a touch of light roast bitterness. It’s pretty nice - particularly considering the ABV.
