Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, moderate hoppy, citrus, grass notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100803]

UPDATED: SEP 24, 2012 1) Gravity, 3rd Hinckley BF. Huge departure from the Oakham, but another decent pale brew. Orange amber, fine white skim and lace. Crushed digestive aroma with mildewed choc and mushroom. Big fresh malty sweetness, cheesecake, almond, toast. Underlying hop grassiness with apricot, then some cherry-flavoured boiled sweets showing up. Very decent vanilla and digestive afters. Length and layered malt depth beyond its strength. Didn’t realise it was from Chippenham- point deducted. Good.
2) Cask handpull, The Crown, Nuneaton, 19/09/12. Lightly hazed orange gold with a skim of white head. Slight grassy, gooseberry, herb aroma. Grass and bready unfiltered helles character; orange and lemon barley. 636312.

UPDATED: AUG 17, 2012 Cask@GBBF2010. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is earthy, vegetably, a bit mouldy and slightly hayish. Flavour is wood, vegetables, some earth and mild vegetably notes. 5 3 5 3 10.
Cask@The Cornubia, Bristol. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, nectary, wooden and a bit hayish notes. Flavour is being very similar with a nice bitter finish. 6 3 7 3 13.

From cask. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is slight herbal to grassy hoppy, mild citrusy note. Sweet malty, mild citrusy and vague bitterness. Ends dry and bitter.

Cask conditioned at The Lamb & Flag, Oxford. Gold with white head. Light and delicate bitter with a grainy feel about it. Crisp light hops with a slightly earthy note. A touch resinous in the close. Pretty good.

Cask, Dispensary, Liverpool. Pallid gold with minimal head. Not a huge amount in the aroma, some vague malt maybe. Unremarkable flavour with reasonable balance. Easy enough drinking. The restrained hoppage rescued this fom the depths of mediocrity.

(Cask at St. Urho’s Pub, Helsinki, on 2008-09-11) Pale golden. Clear. Quite dense long lasting white head. Fruity and hoppy light nose. Quite light palate with little carbonation. Malts, yeast, hint of salty liquorice, bitterness and fruitiness in taste.

Cask at Angleterre, Helsinki. Golden to copper color. Biscuity and fruity aroma. Biscuity flavor with mango, apricot, fruity bitterness and fruity hop flavor. Tasty and very moreish bitter with good biscuity and tropical fruit character. This cask was at top condition!

Cask (Gallows Bird, Espoo)
Dry dusty noble hop aroma. Some sweet sherbet too. Soft carbonation, refreshing palate. Big light malty body, a little fruity and with a pretty solid bitterness too. Shortish finish, but that’s perhaps a little dishwatery.
