UPDATED: SEP 10, 2008 Cask 0.25L glass tasted 6.9.-08. Slight vanilla in the nose. White head 5mm. Pale hey coloured. A burnt taste at the beginning. Comes better after first sip. Slightly hazy. Mild lemon and peach aromas. Nice hoppiness at the end.

UPDATED: SEP 12, 2007 Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 5/6/07. This was a very pleasant session bitter. Golden coloured with a lacy white head. Plenty of grassy hops in the aroma with grainy flavours and a long bitter finish.

Clear golden coloured pale and hoppy. Some wheat flavour and a bitter finish.
2. Cask Handpump at the GBBF, Earl’s Court 03/08/2010 (As Golden Bolt)
Floral aroma. Golden coloured fruity and hoppy with a hint of bitterness in a dry and grainy malt finish.

UPDATED: JAN 18, 2010 Cask (gravity dispense), St Albans beer festival 2004 as Rev Awdrys Ale. Named after the most famous inhabitant of the village of Box - the creator of the Thomas the Tank Engine childrens’ stories. This beer is pale gold in colour. The aroma is modest, with a touch of grassy hop. The bitter hops are much more prominent in the flavour, with a hint of dry malt too. Clean and fresh, with a mellow finish. Nothing too complex going on, but a pleasant, refreshing beer.
