Cask@The Cornubia, Bristol. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, nectary, wooden and a bit hayish notes. Flavour is being very similar with a nice bitter finish. 6 3 7 3 13.

Dry dusty noble hop aroma. Some sweet sherbet too. Soft carbonation, refreshing palate. Big light malty body, a little fruity and with a pretty solid bitterness too. Shortish finish, but that’s perhaps a little dishwatery.

UPDATED: JAN 18, 2010 Cask (gravity dispense), St Albans beer festival 2004 as Rev Awdrys Ale. Named after the most famous inhabitant of the village of Box - the creator of the Thomas the Tank Engine childrens’ stories. This beer is pale gold in colour. The aroma is modest, with a touch of grassy hop. The bitter hops are much more prominent in the flavour, with a hint of dry malt too. Clean and fresh, with a mellow finish. Nothing too complex going on, but a pleasant, refreshing beer.
