JDW, Rochester. Amber bitter. Lacks character or any real distinctiveness. Soapy indifferent best bitter with few hops. Drinkable.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial rooms (JDW) Bristol 2/10.2011. Standard, amber bitter with some cereal malts, touch of caramel and decent bitter finish. Ok.

cask at SOrder ... copper ... thin bubbly white lacing ... soft sweet orange hop fruit nose ... zezty bright citrus hop ... light fruts .. ok but little dull in linger

Cask @ Wetherspoons, Inverness.
Appearance - Amber, thin white head, a little hazy.
Aroma - A bit spicy and peppery.
Taste - Citricy peppery notes, slight herbal, some sort of bready and mushy sweetish muddled malts.
Palate - Dryish peppery finish, a bit acidic, soft carb, smooth, slight oily texture.
Overall - A somewhat unusual bitter - but 1/2 pint was enough for me

[Cask at the Tremenheere (JDW), Penzance] Amber with a slight white head. Toffee, a bit of spice, moderate bitterness, decent.

Cask at The Standing Order. Pours a dark golden colour with a decent beige head. Aroma of Weetabix malt, a little lime, caramel and barley. Similar flavours of Weetabix malt and a citrusy lime again. Mild carbonation with a dry finish. Just OK.

Cask Conditioned Handpump Eastgate Northampton. An amber coloured beer with a white head. A dull yeasty aroma. A fruity sweet taste. A bit creamy. Very English,old fashioned and dull.

Cask @ The Sir John Moore JDW. Oak brown colour, not much head. Vanilla malt aroma. Dry toffee malt flavour. Bitter aftertaste. Very average bitter.

Cask @ Edward Wylie, JDW. Beer brewed for JD Wetherspoon pubs raising money to support children with cancer. Copper colour, off-white head. Nose is malty, caramel, bit of hops. Flavour is caramel malts, slightly hoppy. Dry finish.
