COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A session style brown ale that has lots of subtle flavors; like walnuts, cedar, caramel, cocoa and dried cherries. We made this beer for when you want a richer flavored beer that goes well with dinner and after.

Elwood (1966) - Leesburg, USA - MAR 14, 2011
Serving: 12 oz. bottle. It pours a ruddy brown with a small, light tan head of foam. It fades rather quickly. The nose is earthy malt, some nuttiness, a dusty caramel, and a bit of almond liquor. The flavor seems over extracted and made with extract. Nutty cocoa powder, thin mouthfeel, lots of malt sweetness but no hops. This one tastes artificial for some reason. Light in body with average carbonation leading to a odd chalky finish. This one wasn’t for me.

Bottle. Deep dark maroon color, medium tan head. Aroma of subtle caramel. Taste is bittersweet butterscotch. Interesting.

Murky brown, almost no head, no lacing, not overly appealling visually... light cidery aroma, bland aroma, malty, not hoppy at all... then the flavor is decent, malty, coffee medium to medium thin body, decent...

FROTHINGSLOSH (3386) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 6, 2011
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a murky dark brown color with a small tan head that faded quickly and left some lacing. The aroma was toasty malts, vanilla, cocoa and faint bitter vague fruits. The flavor was malty though somewhat dry with touches of cocoa, wood and toffee. The finish was medium length wood, malt and faint cocoa. Medium body. Pleasant.

Goodgrief (1656) - Middletown, Delaware, USA - JUN 25, 2011
Sampled at Lansdale Brew Fest. Pour yielded some head, aroma of roasted malts. Very nutty...the nut flavor imparted a slightly odd flavor resembling Troegs Nut Brown Ale. Some caramel and roasted malts. Drinkable and unique. Not bad.

michael-pollack (4875) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 20, 2010
Draught at Capone’s: No aroma. Poured brown/amber in color with a small, tan head around the edges only. Hazy. Not sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet and slightly tart. Tastes of funky tart yeast, malt, and hint of chocolate. Medium body. Lightly thin texture. Average carbonation. Malt and slight funky yeast finish. Their 2nd beer is as bad as their first.
