COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Just in time for the warm spring days of 2012, Mango Ginger Ale is flying off shelves faster than we ever thought possible! It must be that crisp, delicious flavor taking everyone by storm. First take in fresh mango to your nose, then get a hint of ginger with the first sip. Bright mango washes it down, and finally a ginger pop comes back with hops in the finish.

Bottle. Fruity sweet nose, lightly yeasty and with subdued hops. Hazy pale orange body with a goodly amount of carbonation and a soapy white head. Taste sweet with light yeasty-bready undertones emerging in the aftertaste, ginger is there but rather subdued, which is more than can be said about the mango. Alcohol well-hidden, not much in the way of malt or even hops; it might help reputation to brand this as an Amber instead of a pale ale / IPA. Medium body with fizzy carb reminiscent of selzer mixed with water ice, and not entirely clean, but refreshing enough.

On tap at Dog & Bull in Croyden - pretty good but I’m not sure about it being an IPA. There was some hop character to it but not too much. Overall though, it was pretty tasty. I’d try it again.

If this tastes like mango and ginger then I’m going to make a beer that tastes like unicorn essence and rainbow perfume. There wasn’t even a hint of either of those two flavors, instead, a non-descript pale ale.

Bottle from jtclockwork for krampus. Thanks. Pours a cloudy dark orange with a finger of white head. Aroma of ginger and citrus. Taste is light bitter. Ginger and citrus. Meh, not awful but not very good either.

Bottle from wegmans. Pours hazy orange with a small white head that dissipates quickly to a film with uneven bubbles. The aroma has plenty of mango and apple but no ipa notes period. The taste is a sweet and spicy mess.

12oz bottle. BBT3 tasting. Poured a golden color with an averaged sized head. Fruity, mango and ginger. Thin and watery.

Pours a light clear orange. A light hop aroma. Taste is tangy with some ginger and limited hops for an IPA. No bitter aftertaste; doesn’t taste like an IPA.

Brite yellow and clear with a tall white head. Lite and hoppy aroma with underling malt notes. A lot more ginger then mango and a little warm on the tongue. A pretty bitter beer but not bad.

12oz bottle-trade with jtclockwork-dissipating white-yellow/gold. A-spice-ginger/orange (ok, mango), yeast, lt malt. T-ginger, yeast, sweet grain.

ROGUE (2085) - Newark, Delaware, USA - SEP 17, 2013
Growler at Whole Foods. Pours a light golden color with a one finger white head. The aroma is largely bready with hints of tropical fruits, mango, light orange citrus and some pineapple. Taste has fruitiness upfront mixed with some spiciness, a little pale malt flavor comes through about halfway and the finish has some more spiciness and just a little piney resin. Medium bodied, crisp, clean, moderate carbonation.

Golden-orange body, thin white head, minimal lacing. Mango, pale malts, light ginger. Muddled. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Not terrible, but entirely unforgetable.
