Bottle Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a good white head. The head is bubbly and lasting. Doesn’t leave much lacing. Has a good aroma of caramel, sweet friuts, and spices. Has a good carbonation. The flavor is good. Well blended. Good amount of malts even out with hops. Has a decent mouthfee. The body is lighter. Has a good finish with a good aftertaste. Their first brew and hoping for many more future adventures.

Bottle. Nice citrusy and earthy taste. Some lemon notes. A nice beer to enjoy in the summer. Good session beer.

Sent from Josh as an extra. Thanks bro. Pours a crazy super lagoon murky water with zero head. It almost has slight green tint to it. Crazy. Aroma is all dark fruit with a touch of alcohol. Taste is all bad. It kinda taste like what a household cleaner with out the household cleaner alcohol would taste like. very unapproachable.

Imagine my joy when I discovered a simple beer made in my neighborhood that promised easy summer drinking. Compare that to the misery when I opened a bottle. Suspiciously pale, slightly cloudy, thin head. Fruity nose. Absolutely wretched in the mouth. I am thinking about returning my case to the brewer to ask if something got in the fermenter that shouldn’t have been there. Tastes like what happens when you contaminate prior to bottling. I hope that this is not what it is intended to taste like. Comments include: tastes like a soapy fart, I am drinking my own scabs, and mosquito repellant. Sorry Boxcar, hopefully this batch was a mistake.

Creek water appearance, thin bodied beer that lacks identity. Not quite an Ale, possibly a Wit & far from an American Pale Ale. Reminded me of a home-brewed beer that did not turn out as expected. I wish the brewers’ well on their endeavor, and hope the other offerings from Boxcar fare better.

My 500th Rating! Why am I rating this beer as my 500? Because I drank it at the Dilowrthtown Inn in PA on my 20th wedding anniversary dinner. This beer is not doing very well in the ratings, but I will try and provide a positive spin. First, it is a light summer beer that goes down easy in the hot summer. The flavor has a lactic acid flavor that is very tart and tangy. I personnaly enjoy this style and it reminds me of the lactic acid German beers. It is very unique and does not appeal to all, but I personnally love this style. The downside is that the head is poor. Not lacing and no lasting head. The aroma is sweet and appealling. The color is a cloudy sandy yellow that is unfortunately not great either. I drink this beer for it’s taste and I love the unique lactic acid taste.

Pours like a witbier. Aroma is earthy, grassy with hint of citrus. Taste is sweet with not much going on. This is decent, but I think it needs more complexity. It did not stick out in any way.

Bottled. Poured hazy medium golden with a sticky, long-lasting white head. The aroma picked up mild fruity and grainy notes with dusty accents.. non-offensive, but not much going on. The flavor found odd fruit and vegetal notes with cardboard graininess around.. metallic, cardboard, and vegetal notes on the not-so-good finish. Medium-bodied with filling carbonation on the palate.. decent feel, but not a good beer.

Bottle from promotional giveaway. Pours very cloudy with bits of yeast sinking to the bottom. Not much of an aroma to speak of virtually no hop action going on. Taste doesn’t linger. This is beer for people who go to a bar and order beer.
