Bottle at The Kulminator, Antwerp, Belgie, 19.03.11 I think it was from 1999 Nose is a little musty and aged as one might expect. Soft carbonation in the mouth. Dark brown in colour, light beige head, some sweetness remains, but touch mouldering in mouth also, its not unpleasant but likely well past its best. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a foamy tan head. Sweet roasted caramel with some dark fruit - probably raisin. Near full bodied with frothy carbonation. Flavor is sweet roast caramel with some anise, and probably some raisin. It carries a bit of heat. Finishes a bit gummy, towards dry. One is enough.

DruncanVeasey (5145) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JAN 6, 2008
UPDATED: JAN 7, 2008 Bottle from a Brugge nightshop. Sweet, slightly nutty caramel and malt loaf aroma, with a scattering of raisins. Liquorice showing through in the mouth, with plain but pleasant dark fruit and yeasty dubbel-ish flavours. Faint fizz and climbing suds. Opaque and stouty. Some ash and tobacco. Liquorice becoming increasingly obvious as it warms. Not bad at all.

A Mes rate: 33cl bottle at Kerstfest, Essen.
Black red with a decent tan head. Sweet roasty malt aroma with plenty of yeast, spice, christmas fruit. Very sweet yeasty flavour with some nice smoky malt. Interesting but not amazing. Smoke develops nicely in the finish.

33 cL bottle, Kerstbierfestival 2007 in Essen/Belgium. Pours dark brown with a lacing light brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, dried fruity note and mild yeasty tone. Flavour is slight breadish with a note of dried fruit. Remains un-sweet without really becoming dry. Finish is breadish with a faint note of fruit. Nice brew by all means.
