Now THIS is what I’m talking about: a cheap-ass beer that comes in cases of 36. Now, there are a LOT of cheap beers that are just plain gross (Classic Ice, I’m looking at you!) but this is not one of them. Sure, it’s not the best tasting beer but for a canned lager, it’s not half bad. I found it surprisingly easy to drink and even after 10 or 11 beers the flavor had not entirely worn out its welcome. Sure, I have some serious social qualms with the way that the Minhas Brewery is taking advantage of transient beer drinkers but there is no denying the sheer awesomeness of showing up at a party with a 36-bomb (and knowing that you payed less than $20 for it!)!

12 oz can. Someone said it might be the worst, it might be the worst. smells of old stale grain and wet cardboard, plastic. Flavor is much of the same weird sweetness that doesn’t taste like any kind of grain. Just terrible all around
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20 garthicus (2006) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 28, 2011
Can I was using for beer can chicken. Appearance: fizzy yellow, small white head. Aroma: corn, wet cardboard, plastic pencil case, the smell of a plastic binder. Flavour: bitter plastic, just an obnoxious chemical corn taste with a long dirty plastic finish. Bleh.

This would be near the top of the list of rating/price quotients, if such a list ever becomes available here. Boxer Lager’s best attribute may be its price: $10.99 for a 36-pack. Other than that, it’s pretty much an average pale lager, with a bigger than usual head. The tastes of corn and sour apples, with a slightly metallic but short finish. It’s too bad Minhas/Huber no longer uses returnable bottles.

Pale yellow, Long lasting thin white head, decent lacing, smell vinegar, sugar, wheat, taste sour apple, corn, yeast, medium carbonation. Not bad for a really cheap beer

Cannette 473 ml. 5%. Couleur jaune or, mousse blanche, belles bulles. Arôme de malt et houblon. En bouche, un peu aqueuse, un peu de malt. Très rafraîchissante. Finale sans houblon et sans histoire.
