4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 Oakes (10184) - Gibsons, - JAN 20, 2010
Hazy orange-straw. Nice thick head. Thick wall of lacing down the glass. Rich hop aroma is full of resin, citrus and some fresh bready malts. Rich bitterness, pithy and long. Sticky icky icky. Good malt balance, though. Clean, rich and very moreish. A top-notch pilsner, even if it could just as easily be called an IPA.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Camons (2166) - Hasselager, DENMARK - JAN 8, 2012
Tap @ the brewpub in Min Hang. Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma of malt, grass, citruss. Taste is bready malt, lots of nice floral and grassy hops, hints of grapefruit and pine. Medium body, soft carnation, lasting bitter finish. Nice refreshing pilsner. 070112
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 TimE (2068) - Tokyo, JAPAN - JUL 3, 2011
Grassy hops and a touch of floral. The grainess really jumps out. Light refreshing excellent bitterness. Hell yeah, this is what I want to drink when it is 38 degrees , 99% humidity in early July. Great summer beer. Dry grassy finish - probably gets a couple extra points for matching the weather so well.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Lubiere (6988) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 29, 2010
An amber pils with a very thin white head. In aroma, a smooth hoppyness over biscuitty malt. In mouth, a smooth biscuitty malt with a nice mix of German hops and c-hops, some metallic notes, medium bodied. On tap at Fu Xing brewpub, Oct. 24 2010.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 WISEGUY572 (1373) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 26, 2010
Clear gold, small head, great lacing. Appearance and palate more like a hand pump than a keg beer. Hoppy nose, light malts; flavor matches. Not as hoppy as I expected from the description. This batch was lower alcohol than usual and lower than menu description; appearance was slightly different from that of the other raters as well. Mine was not hopped to the point where I would have confused it with anything but a pils.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Jukkabro (3471) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAR 21, 2010
Light yellow colored with hazy appearance, little white head. Yeasty and lemony-hopped aroma with some sweet malty note. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is more hopped with biting grassy note, some safty lemony tone also. Aftertaste dries with some burnt tone, good pilsner.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Beershine (4712) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - JAN 28, 2010
Draft @ brewpub. Hazy orange with stable white head and ring lacing. Bright citrusy aroma. Silky palate is slightly thin with high bitterness, in a good way, with tons of citrus peel. Juicy. Lots of grapefruit and minerally earth. Tastes like an IPA. Highly sessionable hoppy pils!
