COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A special style of pale ale that has high hop bitterness, flavor, aroma and a higher alcohol content. Originally brewed in England for the long trip to India when additional hops were added for preservation. Boxing Cat TKO IPA has a medium body with some maltiness. Three different hop varieties contribute estery citrus and tangerine notes to this fine light orange-copper color beer.

On tap at the brewpub. Hazy golden with a good head. Regreshing citrussy hop nose, followed by punchent and lingering bitterness. Best beer in China?

Tap @ the brewpub in Min Hang. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of malt, fruity citrussly hops. Taste is malt, oranges, grapefruit, hints of pine and resin. Medium body, soft carbonation, lasting bitter finish. 070112

Golden color. Nice frothy white head. Whoa. WTF. Starts with nice piney bitterness then a massive caramel malt drops in and smack the back of the tounge. Two completely separate layers. Full bodied. Need a bit more hops and abv an it would have been unreal. Still a very good beer. Again the brewer here knows what he is doing

Again, a couple of bonus points for being this good in China. New brewer, same name. Rich golden beer, small head by the time it came to the table on the third floor, great lacing. Truly massive nose of American hops, and a hop slam taste to match. Bitter, orange and grapefruit and pine tar ... among the best IPAs i have ever had, actually, and bonus points for being true to type and courageously over the top for China.

A golden amber IPA with a thin creamy light moka head. In aroma, good herbal c-hops with light berry nites over nice malt, In mouth, a classic IPA with nice hopping, light grapefruits, a bit thin but nice. On tap at Fu Xing brewpub, Oct. 24 2010.

Light orange colored with hazy appearance. Little yellow head. Flowery aroma with nice grassy hops, some pine also comes up. Medium bodied, crispy palate. Flavor is also nice with same floral and lemony notes, aftertaste dries with grass and pine. Good IPA.

Cloudy orange-amber. Loose, cask-like head. Very citrusy, juicy aroma with just a hint of pale malts. Has a cask mouthfeel. Juicy - rich, syrupy malts and sticky resinous hops. Bitter and herbaceous. Sticky finish is quite bitter, again with a mixed citrus accent.

Draft @ brewpub. Could have sworn it was from a hand-pump keg! Pours hazy, nearly opaque, orange with cask ale-like suds. Big PacNW hop aroma. Juicy citrus, kumquat, grapefruit. Bright but also minty aroma. Juicy palate. Low carbonation. Cask ale palate too. The flavors have an earthy foundation to carry the well-articulated hop flavors. The hops are dry, not so bitter, and not so fruity either. More cannabis like but also orange-kumquat rinds. Very nice.
