COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Porter is a dark colored beer, complex with a hint of smokiness. Lingering flavors include coffee and chocolate, rich but not heavy. The Pullman as it relates to the Boylan Bridge is most often the railroad sleeper car.

Black coloured beer with some very light carbonation and a small brown head. Malty roasted and chocolaty hinted aroma. Full light creamy hinted palate. Finish is roasted bitter, creamy and malty with a longer sweet bitter creamy malty ending. Ok one.

Pint at the brewpub. Pours near black with a dark tan head. The nose is of bacon, roasted coffee and chocolate. Palate is lighter for the style but this beer doesn’t skimp on flavor. It’s very roasty with a bittersweet finish. There are notes of meat, cacao, caramel and wafers. A surprisingly good porter.

Dark brown pour with a thin tan head with some lacing. Toasted aroma of malts. Flavor is chocolate and coffee but bittersweet and just right. Probably the best local produced porter I have ever had.

Serving: Draft at the brewpub. It pours a very muddy dirt brown color (clearly I got the unfiltered version) with no head at all. The nose is nutty with notes of dark caramel and a bit of earth. The taste is on the sweet side with notes of caramel, a bit of band-aid, earth, and peat. The palate has a medium body leading to a dry, bitter finish. It strikes me as being a wee bit on the raw side and I think this one could stand a day or two more in the tank.

Tap at BB. Pours a deep amber brown with thin head. Aroma is nutty brown chocolate, earthy minty bitter, solvent, harsh extract chocolate and slick sweetness. Flavor is toffee, chocolate, choc essence, salty brown malts, toffee, and slick. Harsh as well- solventy.

On tap at the brewpub. Somewhat thin brown pour, with a fairly lively carbonation and a thick creamy head. Thinness confirmed in the palate, and it comes across more like a decently robust brown than any porter of note. Sweet malts are a bit over the top, and there’s not a whole lot of depth to it. The least of the several beers I tried here.

(draft) Clear dark brown body with beige head. Aroma is moderately sweet, coffee/roast, some chocolate, light smoke. Taste is medium sweet, chocolate, caramel, light coffee. Watery light-medium body, low carbonation.
