omhper (10900), Stockholm, Sweden Mar 25, 2002 Dark reddish brown. Citric aroma. Toasty, nice maltiness. Very balanced. Execellent example of an American Brown Ale, the best I’ve ever had. Thanks PsychProf! Oakes (6999), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jul 23, 2002 Well, PsychProf was very fired up to make sure that everybody joined the Boyne Brown fan club...hmmm....dark brown, chocolate aroma, dry maltiness with biscuits, touch of toffee...pretty typical brown ale material quite frankly. argo0 (6263), Washington DC, USA Jul 22, 2002 Nice brown body. Simple brown ale aroma, with a bit of an extra kick. Flavor is decent, not great -- slightly roasty, sweet, mild, not very complex. Solid body, goes down slightly sweet. CaptainCougar (4678), Rockville, Maryland, USA Jan 13, 2003 Was lucky enough to try some of what’s left of this brew. This has a great roasted malty aroma and a medium brown color. The flavor is sweet, nutty and well-balanced. Overall, very drinkable, genuine, and true to style. Thanks jskendzel. acrdz (4475), Boulder, Colorado, USA Aug 18, 2003 Murky brown appearance. Nose of apples and maple. Syrupy, with big maple and nut flavor, and quite carbonated. I enjoyed this one, but fear that I'm missing something more interesting... I really couldn't figure out what to write more than the above.
