Excellent nose - spicy and estery, and this carries, though more faintly, into the taste, with a splash of bitter and citrus action on close. A decent Hefe on a decent summer day in the home of laid back ales. Stay tuned for a RateBeer article on the place from yours truly.

A nice find in a 750 mL bottle. Not sure when this was bottled. Tangy wheat aroma with a hint of cloves. Cloudy yellow-orange body with a thin off-white head. Nice flavor reminded me more of a typical American Wheat than a Hefeweizen: fruity and light with strong wheat tang and estery notes. Nice mouthfeel due to tight carbonation. Too bad Boyne River is out of business, but these bottles of Hefeweizen are still solid.

Crystal clear straw color with large head. Spicy wheat aroma with some citrus notes. Estery. Some malt aroma and flavor. Slight hop bitterness in the finish. Spritzy light-to-medium body. A very nice refreshing hefeweizen.

This hefe weizen has a wonderfully citrusy nose which is unfortunately not carried out in the flavor. I tend to prefer very citrusy hefe weizens, but still enjoyed the complexity of this one.
