Brought back from Toby’s great Montana Growler round up. Pours out a copper topped with a off white head. Aroma was nice floral hops along with some sweet caramel. Taste was more of the floral hops, sweet caramel, and finished with a grapefruit bitterness.

Draft @ the Brewery. Pours a golden color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity sweetish malty hoppy bitter piney aroma. Sweetish malty hoppy bitter grapefruit flavor. Has a sweetish warming malty hoppy bitter grapefruit finish.

Sample at the brewery. Clear gold, frothy white head. Aroma of floral hops, grass, herb, pine, orange. Taste is more malty than bitter, very herby and vineous. Kind of weak for a DIPA but maybe my palate is hurting.

On draught at the brewery tasting room. Labeled 8.7%. Pours a deep, dark gold color with a slight white head. Medium bodied with a nice hop flavor matched to a malty sweetness, building to an intense hop bitterness. Very impressive.

Growler - Thanks Toby! - Think it was this beer, but will move rating if I’m mistaken...Pours a thick dk orange with a medium frothy off white head...aroma is massive citrus and caramel malt- citrus peel and flesh...flavour is very malt forward, borderline cloying, with a resiny bitterness that helps cut the malt...very sticky and a lot sweeter than I like, biting hops that linger in the back...good representation...

Third stop during the ABA Beer Tour ’07 in Bozeman, Montana. Sampled at the Bozeman brewery brewpub on tap. Labeled as Bozeman Imperial IPA on chalkboard, pours cloudy coppery-amber brew with a thick off-white head with terrific retention. Excellent lacing that stays with the glass. Aroma of sweet pink grapefruit, cereal malt with a touch of sweet orange peel. Taste is full bodied, highly carbonated with sweet grapefruit flavor that lasts. Finish is bitter at first and then a clean and crisp finish. Very little aftertaste, just a hint of roasted malt. A glass of water chaser takes that away instantly. Most excellent!

Copper color with off-white head. Big notes of citrus on this one. Flavor to match, with the hops being controled in the end by a nice touch of malt. Finish is clean, crisp and hoppy. Very nice!
