Very enjoyable, and would make an excellent session porter. I could get used to drinking this. One of the most well balanced porters I have tried in ages. Rich roasted caramel and chocolate, and just the right amount of toastiness. Well done!

Pours dark brown, with tan head. Aroma is malty, rich, with hints of roasted chocolate. Taste is smooth and full, with subtle sweetness and malt. Thumbs up.

Draft @ the Brewery. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma. Roasted malty chocolate and coffee flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish.

the aroma has coffee, some roast. Black coloured beer with a beige head. The taste is sweet, bitter, has coffee. Quite straight forward with a dry end.

On tap. Pours an opaque dark brown with a tan head. Nose is roasty malts, chocolate, caramel. Medium to full-bodied, very smooth, dark roasty malts and lots of chocolate. Finishes with bittersweet chocolate and light roastiness. Nice.

Sample at the brewery. Black, dark ruby edges, creamy tan head. aroma of toasty and burnt malts, coffee, mocha, nut, cream. Taste has lots of thick sweet toasty malts with a burnt bitter finish.Full body, creamy smooth carbonation.

on draft at the almost friendly taproom in bozeman. one of my 3 pints allowed for the day. i think this was hoppier than other dark ales in this region of the country. well done

Third stop during the ABA Beer Tour ’07 in Bozeman, Montana. Sampled at the Bozeman brewery brewpub on tap. Pours a near opaque dark brown brew with a creamy very slow dissolving off-white head. Excellent sticky lacing on glass edges. Aroma of coffee, light white chocolate with some flowery hops. Taste is full bodied, very light carbonated, smooth, creamy with flavors of roasted dark malt, milk chocolate and a touch of coffee. Finish is bittersweet with a lingering roasted malt aftertaste. One of the brewpubs best products.
