COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Deep copper colored and opaque from being unfiltered. Fruity and Carmel in aroma. Intense dried fruit flavor that first hits the tongue followed by a combination of bitterness and alcohol that warms the back of the throat. The aftertaste is of raisins and hops. Should be served in snifter or tulip shaped glasses in small quantities. Perfect as an after dinner nightcap. Think of it as a cognac, sherry or fine scotch.

This was ridiculously tasty. Heavy fruit flavors, with tons and tons of rich, sweet brown candi sugars. Caramelized in your mouth with a heavy sticky presence on the palate.

Pours a dark amber color, with a off white head that had some lacing power. Aromas of citrus, sweet malts, and some alcohol. Flavor isn’t as sweet as I was led to believe. You can taste the alcohol from the get go, what follows is a nice mellow brown sugar (I Guess) sweetness that finishes with a nice bitter hop.

Sampled at the NABA 06 Fest: Pours a mahogany amber color with no head. Fruity and lively earthy hops along with sweet grassy malts in the nose. Creamy and balanced flavor (I guess that would be a creamy mouthfeel). Light alcohol noticeable in the finish and it kinds falls apart in the tail. Nice barleywine though.

Hints of cane syrup on the nose. Nice deep color with good solid light brown head with good lacing. Huge sweet malt up front with a ton of carmelized brown sugar and dried fruit notes. A touch of hops to finish you off. Great ale to finish the night.
