2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
A special Croatian winter beer in a 0.5 l bottle. It has a different label each year, and this year it was designed by a young Croatian painter Mladen Donadini. It pours a white head that fades quickly. Pale golden color, carbonated. A hoppy aroma with some flower notes. Flavor is lightly bitter, hoppy, with almost no aftertaste at all. Watery palate. Although this beer is a bit better than an average European lager, it is still not as good as most people regard it.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear golden color, thin white head that disappears almost instantly. Medium body, lively carbonation. Aroma is hops, malts, some fruitiness too. For Zagrebačka pivovara standards, this is impressive.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
2013/2014 edition. 0.5l glass bottle. Stronger than the Ožujsko Pivo. Taste is refined. Mostly everything is same as Ožujsko Pivo only slightly better. Overall great beer.

UPDATED: MAR 4, 2014 0,5l bottle. It has golden color. Aroma is malt and hops. Taste is bitter, maybe a little bit too much. It’s not really a great beer, but it’s drinkable.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
0,5 l bottle as a gift, after BBD.
Poured gold with a small lacing white head. Aroma of hay and malt, some sourish yeast. Little bit sweetish malt taste with a minimal grassy hop. No more words to waste for it.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled, 0,50l. Clear golden color with medium frothy white head and fizzy bubbles. Aroma of grassy hops, hay, yeast, malt, vanilla and light citrus note. Taste starts rich malty, followed by sour fruitiness and rounded with crisp and dry hoppiness. Medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Thumbs up for Zagrebačka pivovara, great Christmas present :)

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
.5l bottle bought in Zagreb, ’12 version. Looks like a normal yugo-lager, clear and yellow. Slightly stronger aroma and flavor, certainly a touch better than most of the beers around. Still mineral and grass, but slightly more balanced and full flavor. Reminds of the ’premium’ versions of the macros around the region. Pretty nice though, I’d seek this out more often if available.
