Adenila (687), Denmark Jul 19, 2008 Nice classic stout look with the thick dense brown head. Aroma is heavy of chocolate alchohol and roasted malts. At first i didnt sense any chili, but its definetly felt after abit. Flavor is again full of chocolate, both bitter and sweet. As a chili fan i really like this, well done.
Ole_R (1304), Oslo, Norway Oct 11, 2008 Sampled while queuing outside Ølbutikken during EBF 2008. A dark brown colored beer with a tan head. Predominant chocolate aroma. Notes of dusty hops and mild spices. Quite sweet-flavored with strong chocolate notes, a little roastiness and some spicy/peppery tones. Fells a bit thin in the mouth. Powdery texture. Short dryish ending. larsniclas (3034), Gothenburg, Sweden Oct 5, 2008 Sampled at EBF08.
Almost black with a small, beige head.
Milky chocolate with a peppery and well balanced tone.
Dry cocoa. Lightly sourish. Rune (1811), Tromsø, Norway Oct 1, 2008 Sample outside Ølbutikken in Copenhagen – thanks to Yngwie and Beer_2000. A decent stout which is not run over by the chilli. Smell of roasted dark malts and spices. Assorted flavours of sweet, dark chocolate, some coffee and with a smooth chilli touch behind. Dry, fruity bitterness to the ending. Tan coloured body (13.09.2008). tarjei (1300), Bryne, Norway Oct 1, 2008 From bottle (served in glass!) while waiting for Ølbutikken to open saturday morning 13. sept. - thanks Beer_2000 and Yngwie. Almost black color, ok beige head. Aroma is roasted malt and chocolate. Flavor is much the same, with the peppery chilli making the beer interesting, but maybe not better than without it. maniac (2022), Richmond, Virginia, USA Sep 27, 2008 Bottle at RBSG2008 Grand Tasting on 08/02/2008. Dark black body with a small brown head. Chocolate and roast aroma. Big chocolate and light roast flavor.
