Aroma is sweetish sugar with caramel malts and raisin. Clear, amber brown coloured wityh a thin, off-white head. Taste is sweet, malty, roast with some raisin. Bit sticky and some more bitterness in the finish. Good, but I don’t really like the style. caesar (2498), Zeist, Netherlands May 24, 2008 Bottle @ Aarhus beerfestival 2008. Clear reddish color. Standard but decent smell of caramel and toasted malt. Slight fruity, strong malty taste. German styled doppelbocks are not my favorite, but this one is well made at least. KimJohansen (3171), Copenhagen V, Denmark May 22, 2008 Hazy red amber with tiny off white head. Sweet with notes of overripe fruits, caramel and toasted malt. Finishes bitter.
