joss (3138), Garching b. München, Germany Apr 28, 2004 Slight toffee and plenty aromatic hops.
Hazy red amber, big lacing creamy head.
Nutty and caramel base with a good measure aromatic hops and a elegant soft bitterhop exit.
Medium to light body.
The aftertaste fizzles out a little bit at first, but as the beer warms subtle hop notes become noticeable again.
Magnitudes better than the beer it is supposed to replace on the danish market (Rød Tuborg) Slick (1956), Minnesota, USA Feb 18, 2004 Amber/dark brown color, small off white head that lasted for some time and left behind a small amount of lace.Malty ,caramel sweet aroma with a bit of hops and fruit as well.Malty sweet taste with a nice caramel hint and fruit posibly grape maybe some citrus, with a decent hop presence. The after taste is fruity and malt with a nice hop character.Very smooth and easy drinking brew that is very well done, making it IMO a brew that is well worth seeking out if your a Dunkel fan. Thanks go to Love_Caissa for this nice brew. Mads Langtved (2246), København K, Denmark May 16, 2003 The best lager in Denmark. Very malty. The palate is a little sweet and caramellish. However it still has itøs essential bitterness. Very complex and well-balanced. Extremely tasteful. Jeppe (2635), Ølbutikken, Denmark Jan 26, 2004 What a pleasant surprise. Hazy amber/orange body with a nice foamy head. Malt, nut and chocolate in the aroma. Flavor is very christmas-beer like with a nice chocolate note. Too much Co2, but a very nice beer! thewolf (3959), Kolding, Denmark Aug 18, 2006 DArk amber with big creamy head. Aroma is sweet, malty and a bit of caramel.
