Ungstrup (11930), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 5, 2003 A black beer with a beutiful chocolate brown head. The aroma is light with notes of sweetness, fruitiness and slight chocolate notes. The flavor is creamy soft, sweet, slightly smoked with a lot of chocolate and coffee notes. A very complex flavor - ending on a pretty strong bitterness. A really great stout with great complexity. Though not very smoked for a stout. I'll definatly go back for this one - and if You get the chance - try it!!! Papsoe (11421), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 21, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Black as darkest night, no light slips through this. Even the head is dark, dark brown - a creamy "cappuchino"-like head. Very roasted malt - if not exactly burned. And then again the typical, fruity Brøckhose house character. Very delicate. 051004 omhper (11030), Stockholm, Sweden May 17, 2004 Sampled draught at Dansk Ølfestival.
Full flavoured Roasty with some molasses, and a chocolatey finish. yespr (8539), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jan 6, 2007 50 cL bottle. Pours deep brown/black with creamy shout lasting head. Clear roasted malt aroma. Taste is a nice balance between roasted malt and bitterness, short aftertaste - a very easy to drink porter without any edges (sadly) Oakes (7047), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Aug 17, 2004 Very dark brown with huge medium-brown head.
