3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Czik (7) - Siedlce, POLAND - MAY 22, 2012 does not count
One of my favorite beers, and one of the first proper pale ales I’ve tried. I’ve had many bottles of it, from shortly after the release up to 2012, a year after the "best before" date. Aged rather well, tho I recall it best around may 2011.
Amber with a shade of red in colour. A really nice, thick head every time. A very slight metallic taste gets overthrown with nice belgian hop bitterness, which is nicely mixed with caramely maltiness. Not stunning or shocking, but very pleasant and extremely drinkable. Would make a great everyday beer if it was widely availible. One I’ll surely remember.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ElDesmadre (472) - Mikołów, POLAND - JUL 15, 2011
Bottle. Reddish-amb er with a frothy and quite durable head. Aroma is sweetish malty, yeasty and spicy, with bananas blended with cinnamon and some dried fruit, plus some dryness attached to it. Taste has also that Belgian ale yeast-banana-malt character but is overall surprisingly dry, with a mid-to-high bitterness pervaded by a resiny aroma, that makes this beer resemble also an English bitter in some way. Quite an original brew and very drinkable.

Flavor and Palate : medium lighter bodied. Grain-hop blend. Relatively bitter mid with noticeable dryness. Good offering.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Quack-Duck (5921) - Down South, GERMANY - APR 16, 2011
bottle, a present from Schroppfy - Vielen Dank! Clear deep golden colour, large white head. Fruity nose. Full-bodied, lovely malt flavours with a good touch of fruit - it tastes very Belgian indeed. Smooth and pleasant carbonation, easy-drinking. A good portion of bitter and aromatic hops is presetn in the lingering bitter-fruity finish. Very nice beer!
2.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 chmurarz (504) - Legnica POLAND, POLAND - APR 8, 2011
Nice darker Amber color body, head is persistent and white with a shade of browness, aroma is very nice top-fermented beer with this yeast note, taste is rather sharp thanks to bitterness, yeast and carbonation, grain is also present, palate is wierd, tangy, smelled better than tasted,
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Schroppfy (2328) - Łódż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - DEC 6, 2010
Homebrew competition winner Dorothy Chrapek made this recipe. Deep golden amber pour, sustained head. Slight sweetness to the aroma but quite phenolic; cinnamon, peach, pepper. Wonderful nose and sooooo very different from Polish beer! Big-time pepper in the flavor, stark spicy fruitiness (white grape skin) and a kind of flat, earthy nutmeg. Good beer! 5%! Fascinating. I need this to break up lager heaven over here.
