Clear medium to light amber colour with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, toffee, butterscotch notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20111210]

Cask at GBBF 2006. A pale brown beer with a thin orange head. The aroma is sweet nutty combined with light citrusy notes. The flavor is sweet nutty combined with light notes of metal, leading to a very dry and nutty end.

Bottle at home ... Nice golden copper ... musty fruity hop ... musty hop again some fruits and a little caramel malt.

Cask at GBBF 2006. Chestnut colour with lasting bubbly beige head. Not a huge aroma, some yeast, dry fruit malt in mouth. Fine. Needs more flavour, but malts are ok.

Fruit and malt aromas. Amber coloured a little rich on the palate and malty with some bitterness in a crisp and dry malt finish.

Cask conditioned at Harbury Beer Fest ’08. Brown with slight head. Malty, bready, yeasty beer with sweetish character. Quite thin but drinkable enough with fruity undertones. Reasonable.

UPDATED: JUL 27, 2010 Cask conditioned – handpump – GBBF. A mahogany coloured beer with a fruity malty aroma with some raisins in it. The taste is similar with those raisins tasting nice. Seemed a little tired which is a shame. Score 2.8

Cask (handpump) at GBBF, day 3 on 3 August 2006. Chestnut colour. Light condition. Soft malt aroma. Maybe a touch of resin. Pleasant chalky, slightly resinous hop on the palate. Hints of citrus. Decent malt balance.

Cask at the Euston Tap, London. Pours hazy, light brown with a small, light tan head. Aroma holds semi-dark malts, modest toffee and some grassy hops. Flavor is lightly sweet, some more darkish malts, somewhat tangy bitterness, mild caramel. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finish has some herbal hops, light sugar, light toast. Very just OK.

Cask handpull at The Junction Tavern. Dark copper colour with a slight tan head. Sweet malt nose with some fruit and nut notes. Hoppy flavour with some balance in the finish from some bready malt.
