Whelk (124), Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England Feb 14, 2008 Handpull cask at the University Arms, Sheffield. Pours a dark reddish-brown with an off-white head. Aroma is crystal malts, walnut, and fruit. Flavors are bready base malt, caramel, and a firm hoppiness in the finish.
imdownthepub (4224), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England Aug 31, 2008 Cask conditioned at Harbury Beer Fest ’08. Brown with slight head. Malty, bready, yeasty beer with sweetish character. Quite thin but drinkable enough with fruity undertones. Reasonable. hughie (2374), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Jun 16, 2008 Amber brown. A lot of sediment. Rather faint malt aroma. Cask handpull at The Junction Tavern. Dark copper colour with a slight tan head. Sweet malt nose with some fruit and nut notes. Hoppy flavour with some balance in the finish from some bready malt.
