A distinctive fruity pale ale, well balanced with a powerful floral bouquet, full-bodied and a predominantly dry aftertaste.

Bottle. Golden with a small bubbly head. Aromas are floral with light pine. Caramel malts with some pepper. Flavours are sweet caramel with pine hops. Fruity with grape and pear. Dry and fruity on the finish. Seems a bit "homebrew", but that could just be the bottling. Still decent.

Bottle. Slightly hazy golden colour with a slim and creamy white head. Aroma is hoppy with some background malt. Interesting taste, pretty bitter to begin, but this disappears leaving a virtually bitter-less finish. There is also some nice citrus and other light fruit along the way. Medium bodied. Very drinkable and pretty good too.

Cask (handpump), Derby Beer Festival, July 2005. Amber colour. Clean, fresh and a bit grassy. Fairly bitter. Perfectly decent, but there’s nothing to really grab the attention or impose its character.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Derby BF. A very pale golden coloured beer. The aroma is light with some citrus hop. The taste is clean, crisp and refreshing. Nicely balance malt and hop charcter but all a bit unexciting really, and I certainly wouldn’t have told its 5% alcohol.
