Bottled. Yellowish golden colour with a small white foamy head. Aroma is bready and caramelly with some toffee, nectar and mild not-too-sweet honeylike notes. Flavour is honey, fruits, mild wood, caramel and some toffeeish notes. Pleasant and quite bodied.

Very light haze on this gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and crisp. Minerals. Smooth light pale malt. Super light actually. Semi sweet pine hops with a whisper of limey citrus. Finishes smooth and then a final minerally crisp bite. Light and slightly ethereal but smooth easy and drinking.

Cask Handpump at the Ship & Mitre, Liverpool 15/02/2008 (As Farmer’s Fixer ABV 6.0%) Hoppy and slightly fruity aromas. Golden coloured hoppy and floral with some alcohol present. Creamy on the palate with a little dryness in a crisp and bitter malt finish.

Bottled. A golden coloured beer with a white head. The aroma has some oranges and lots of grassy lager notes. The taste is grassy and also bitter. Not bad.

Cask (gravity dispense) at the Bricklayers Arms Yorkshire Beer Festival on 23 February 2011. Gold in colour. Sweet and fairly fruity - some notes of melon and pineapple. Pleasant enough. However, I found it a little short of impact and depth for a fairly strong ale. Couldn’t really see much lager-like about this.

A Mes rate: bottle thanks to Tashi.
Brewed for the "Sixer" community magazine in the S6 area of Sheffield. How geeky is that? Good gold head with a stable white head that can be easily resurrected with a swill. Fantastic condition in it too. Glorious floral hop aroma. Wonderfully aromatic and light. Tiny hints of alcohol underneath give it a good grounding. A lovely smell. Flavour is not quite on a par but is still pretty good. The alcohol is still quite restrained but gives it a slightly harsh note. Finish is again floral and aromatic and finally, after being so downable, gives away its strength with a hit of alcohol. A lick of malt right at the death balances it out really well. Decent stuff.

Bottle from open all hours. Curious discription on this, not sure why theres NO BULL in big bold letters on it and why it discribes itself as a pale ale and a lager at the same time? Aroma is pale malts, peppery alc, grassy and floural hops. Taste is similar pale malts and grassy hops working side by side balancing well, however a bit yeasty as it gets on which is strange as its not bottle conditioned?
