Cask@The Red Lion, Isleworth. A light stout, with a licoricey character. Soft notes of chocolate and roasted malt. Palate is quite light, and quite thin. A bit lightweight for a stout.

On cask at the Bell Bell. Pours a black colour with a ruby tinge and a decent light tan head. Aroma of caramel, chocolate and yeast. Similar flavours with moderate carbonation and a creamy mouth-feel. Just a little thin.

Gravity pour @ Allied Arms beer fest. Dark almost black ruby. Coffee and dark chocolate, not much hops or roasted barley. Tiramisu! Lovely stout...

Bottle from a lovely little pub in monsall. Tastes quite similar to Sam smiths oatmeal stout. Quite sweet. Nice.

Very pleasing on the eye, and tastes pleasant over many pints. A favourite to drink in Bradfield.

WASW (46) - - DEC 24, 2011
Pure black richness with an enticing creamy head and a red hue. Roasted coffee aromas which are perhaps a little too subtle, which follow through into a dark mocha flavour. Surprisingly thin and soft body which goes down easily.

Near black with a small off-white head. Malty aroma with licorice, chocolate and hard roasted notes. Sweetish rich licorice and malty flavour with a fruity touch

Cask at Euston Tap, London. Black color with creamy head. Lots of coffee in the aroma. The flavor is mostly about coffee, toffee and nutty maltiness. There is also some tart apple which is masking other flavors.
