Cask conditioned at Banbury Beer Fest ’08. Brown red with white head. I have to say that this is an older type bitter, fuller bodied than most current beers, quite flowery, dusty hops, spicy. Really quite decent.

Cask, The Francis Newton, Sheffield, UK. Medium copper, spiced caramel aroma. Heavy hop bitterness on the palate, metallic aftertaste.

Cask conditioned handpump Lamplighter Northampton. A brown beer with a whitish head and lacing. A chewy fruity malty beer. Earthy and leafy hops. Sweet notes. Old fashioned and ok but sadly served too warm.

Cask handpull at Ship & Mitre April Fest 08. Reddish copper colour. Quite a perfumed aroma. That’s a pretty tasty perfumed bitter. Decent hop, bit of white pepper. Good and tasty.
