Cask, Chelmsford Ale House; 18th February 2015. Prominent white lacing. Good hop bite, juicy lemon residue, clean malt, good use of Goldings, that old sock texture you get from the hop, a little too much crystal. Nice balance and well-made.

Medium white head. Clear amber body with light carbonation. Strawy caramelly aroma with spicy papery notes. Dry-sweet caramelly toffee taste with dry straw and spice notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy, oily mouthfeel. Dryish mealy caramelly aftertaste with strawy fruity notes. Nice, drinkable, and full of flavour. Has the feel of a much heavier beer.
