On tap at GTMW (2011)

Wandering the grounds I eventually made it over to Brady’s. They caught my eye while browsing the program - it is always fun to check out new brewpubs or breweries. Based on this sample I would visit if I were in the area. It’s not a great oatmeal stout but for a local offering well crafted. Smoky malty notes lurk in a fluid black base that looks like iced coffee. Soft and gentle it warmed the palate for the big beers to come.

Skyview (4880) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - JUN 17, 2011
On draught at Brady’s Brewhouse in downtown New Richmond, Wisconsin. Pours an opaque dark brown colored brew with an average sized tan head that slowly dissipates and leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of toasted dark malt, a hint of chocolate, floral hops and a touch of mocha. Taste is slightly dry with toasted dark malt, light carbonation and a hint of chocolate. Finish continues a toasted dark malt, a little husk with a dry bitterness that slowly disappears.
